Now playing: National Bank partners with La Vitrine
Montreal, 10 October 2007 -
National Bank is proud to contribute to the vitality of the Montreal cultural scene by sponsoring La Vitrine (Montreal’s Cultural Window), a new ticket office located at 145 Ste-Catherine Street West, just steps away from Place des Arts, one of the city’s top entertainment venues.
La Vitrine will allow Montrealers and tourists alike to purchase reduced-rate tickets for cultural events of all types taking place the same day. This new service will give thousands of people greater access to hundreds of events ranging from dance performances to festivals, plays, concerts and exhibits. The concept has been a smashing success for a number of years in several cities, most notably New York, and serves not only to dispose of unsold tickets, but also to boost revenues for cultural businesses.
Helping to establish this ticket office is an important part of the Bank’s commitment to making culture more accessible to Montrealers and the public at large. For National Bank, culture is more than just an intellectual asset, it is also a pillar of economic development and a vital tourist attraction.
In 2006, the Bank and its subsidiaries, through corporate donations, sponsorships, in-branch fundraising activities and various benefit events, gave $19.5 million to hundreds of Canadian education, health care, cultural and community organizations.
