Michel Sarrazin joins National Bank

National Bank is proud to announce the appointment of Montreal Chief of Police Michel Sarrazin as Senior Manager – Corporate Security, effective April 4, 2005.
Reporting to Olivier Lecat, Senior Vice-President – Internal Audit, Mr. Sarrazin's functions will consist in defining the Bank's strategic orientations with respect to corporate security, developing policies and procedures, and leading a team of professionals specialized in investigations, protecting the Bank's assets and combatting money laundering. He will oversee the security of the Bank's personnel and premises, investigations and be responsible for the implementation of preventive measures.
A graduate of the National Executive Institute of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Mr. Sarrazin joined the ranks of the Montreal Police Department in 1970 and held a number of positions over the years before becoming Chief of Police in September 1998. Mr. Sarrazin expanded his experience by taking part in a six-month study program with National Bank and was able to apply that experience to the Police Department during its re-organization towards the current neighbourhood policing structure.
