Gisèle Wilson Appointed Chief Investment Officer of Natcan Investment Management Inc.

Sam Reda, President and Chief Operating Officer of Natcan Investment Management Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Gisèle Wilson to the position of Chief Investment Officer.

Ms. Wilson, who assumed her new position on November 1, is responsible for overseeing Natcan's portfolio management processes, specifically by coordinating research, portfolio design methodology and risk control. “My main challenge will be to obtain maximum benefit from the synergy generated by all the portfolio management resources in the National Bank group and to continue to give our customers performance and quality that meet the highest standards,” Ms. Wilson explained.
Ms. Wilson has held various positions in the investment industry during more than 19 years in the field, including President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Investment Officer of TAL Fund Management as well as Associate Global Chief Investment Officer at TAL Global Asset Management Inc. She is known for her business acumen particularly in her role as one of the co-founders of William Mercer's asset management consulting practice in 1990 and the founder of the Montreal office of Fleming Canada Partners in 1994.
